We will meet at the Phillis Wheatley Library from 4:00-5:45 PM on February 15, 2024 to learn about and discuss the Greater Rochester Environmental Community Analysis.
Individuals, groups, and organizations are encouraged to attend.
There is a suggested donation of $10 to sustain the Directory and community-building efforts.
Rochester Ecology Partners is hosting an open presentation and discussion of a regional Environmental Community Landscape Analysis. In addition, a new, public online resource, the Greater Rochester Environmental Community Directory, will be formally launched and introduced at the event.
With support from Rochester Area Community Foundation and Emil Muller Foundation, Rochester Ecology Partners spent 2023 gathering and processing extensive information about the composition, missions, initiatives, successes, and challenges faced by dozens of organizations dedicated to improving community well-being and the environment across Greater Rochester.
Chris Widmaier, founder and Executive Director of Rochester Ecology Partners, will lead the presentation and discussion, along with Simeon Banister, President and CEO of Rochester Area Community Foundation.
We will present the process, results, and insights from this analysis, and invite attendees to discuss next steps toward a more connected and impactful regional environmental movement. This event marks a pivotal moment in Greater Rochester’s journey towards a more sustainable and just future.
