Rochester Ecology Partners is thrilled to announce the receipt of two major grants, totalling $100,000 in funding, to support another summer of Growing Good for youth across Rochester! These generous contributions, $50,000 from The Konar Foundation and $50,000 from the Rochester Area Community Foundation, will play a pivotal role in expanding Growing Good for another summer of playing and learning for Rochester area youth.

From harvesting carrots to conducting composting experiments, Growing Good Summer Enrichment Program will provide young people with opportunities to connect with each other, the land, and important academic content in this engaging and hands-on summer experience. This important funding will allow us to:

  • Increase enrollment to 30 youth in each of the 4 sessions
  • Offer families this opportunity at a budget friendly cost of $50 – $150/week.
  • Ensure every participant has access to high quality programming and experiences (like kayaking on the Genesee!), and healthy meals each day.

We are incredibly honored to receive this level of support from two foundations committed to positive change in our community. This funding is not just an investment in quality summer programming, but it is an opportunity to provide our youngest citizens with a transformative experience that will help students not only return to school prepared, but also give them tools to flourish long after summer ends.

We would like to extend our gratitude to The Konar Foundation and Rochester Area Community Foundation for believing in Rochester Ecology Partners and our commitment to connect children to nature through play, learning, and meaningful community engagement.
