We are looking forward to seeing you at the Nature Based Learning Symposium next week. There are a few things that we wanted to share before the event that will help us all have an excellent experience. This is truly a community endeavor where everyone is contributing what they can, however they can, and we greatly appreciate everyone’s contributions. If you have questions, need anything from us to ensure you can participate, or want to offer your time, energy or resources, please reach out.
email: contact@rochesterecologypartners.org or call 585-563-9604.

If for some reason you can’t make it let us know and we will refund your ticket.

Our goal is to create an opportunity to learn about nature based learning, connect with those that are interested in nature based learning, and develop plans for expanding nature based learning opportunities. We are glad you are joining us in this endeavor.

It will be held in and around the Magnolia Shelter at Durand Eastman Park. The simplest directions are to turn on Log Cabin Rd from Lakeshore Blvd and head to the top of the hill.

We want to encourage and facilitate carpooling, biking, and bussing. Please reach out if you want to carpool or need support getting to the venue.

Thanks to the support of several partners we will provide a light breakfast, snacks throughout the day and beverages. Lunch is bring your own (or there are a few places nearby). If this is a challenge for you, let us know and we can make sure you have lunch. Please bring your own water bottle and utensils if possible.

The event is outdoors and will be held rain or shine. (It looks to be somewhere in the middle right now). We will have some covered areas but it is a good idea to come prepared for whatever the weather might be. Sunscreen and bug spray are a good idea.

We also recommend that you bring your own camp chair for the day. We have some to share with you if you need one.
